Eros
God of Love & Desire
Symbols of Eros:
- bow and arrow
- wings
Eros had many different origin stories. Within Hesiod's 'Theogony', Eros was a primordial being and one of the original deities within the universe. However, another origin story and the one familiar to most, is that Eros is one of the seven Erotes, children of Aphrodite and Ares.
Eros' has two different arrow types that are created by his step-father, Hephaestus. He owns Golden-tipped arrows that will cause anyone struck by these arrows to be filled with uncontrollable desire for the person that they see next. He also owns Lead-tipped arrows that will cause anyone struck by these to be filled with revulsion and run away from the person that they see next. This is how the God of Passion is able to meddle with mortal love lives.
